About Us
Townora began in 1868 as a ferry crossing on the Alder River. When the first Town Hall opened in 1904, the council made one promise: any resident could walk in and be heard. That promise still shapes how we work. Only now the front door is also a website, a phone line and a text message.

“Good local government is mostly invisible. Clean water, a bin that's emptied on time, a library that's open when you need it. Our job is to keep those promises and to tell you plainly when we fall short.”
