About this service
Townora's water comes from the Alder River and is treated at the Millbrook plant before reaching 19,000 homes. Bills are sent every three months and combine a fixed service charge with the water you actually use.
Before you start
- Have your account number or property address ready
- Read your meter if you are moving house
- Keep your most recent bill handy if you want to set up direct debit
Reading your bill
Your bill shows the dates of the billing period, the opening and closing meter readings and the volume used. If your usage is much higher than usual, check taps, toilets and irrigation systems for leaks before the next reading.
Moving house
Give us at least three working days of notice before you move. We will arrange a final meter reading, issue a closing bill and open a new account for the next occupant, so you are never charged for water you did not use.
High bill or leak on your property
Leaks on your side of the meter are your responsibility, but you may be eligible for a one-off bill adjustment if you repair the leak promptly and send us the plumber's invoice. Contact us within 60 days of your bill.
